For the powertrain, the Kia Stinger will offer 2 engine options: a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cyl engine that pushes 255 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine the offers a monsterous 365 hp and 376 lb.-ft. of torque. Connected to this powerhouse will be a 2nd-generation 8-speed automatic transmission with 5 drive modes. Other powertrain features will be a Centrifugal Pendulum Absorber (CPA) torque converter and Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system (All-Wheel Drive models).
The chassis will feature MacPherson front and multi-link rear suspension and is 55% advanced high-strength steel construction. The Kia Stinger will feature Brembo® vented disc brakes with quad-piston front calipers and dual-piston rear calipers, Dynamic Stability Damping Control (DSDC) with 5-Modes, Rack-mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS) with 5-Modes and staggered 19" Alloy Wheels with performance tires. With an estimated wheelbase of 114.4 in and an overall length of 190.2 in and width of 73.6 in, the Stinger will have one of the most aggressive and powerful stances on the road. Other technology will include Driver Attention Alert (DAA, a Kia first), Forward Collision Assistance (FCA), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
